He received an MA in linguistics from the University of Washington and earned his doctorate in Political Science from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Stanizai has worked in Indo-Iranian languages as a Fulbright scholar and has focused his post-doctoral studies on Islamic culture and mysticism and depth and sacred psychology. He is an author for the Huffington Post, and has written extensively on political philosophy, especially on issues of identity politics and third-world states encountering globalization. Both professionally and personally, Dr. Stanizai also passionately engages the art of poetry.
