This deity though revered by all communities; is considered clan deity of Jaunsar people. The history of deity goes back even before that of Mahabharata time; but still deity retains its own unique identity without accepting influence of mainstream deities. To learn about the topic; we have none other than the expert from the same region; Lokesh Ohri Sir. Ohri Sir is an anthropologist by profession: with his academic qualifications from Heidelberg University & has recently published his research work on Mahasu Devata in form of a book.
