MYTH SALON: Archetypal Narratives for Daily Life with Dr. Carol Pearson

On October 29th, 5 PM Pacific, the Myth Salon is ecstatic to be hosting Dr. Carol Pearson, well-known author of The Hero Within and Awakening The Heroes Within, presenting her 12-archetype system: Idealist, Realist, Warrior, Caregiver, Seeker, Lover, Revolutionary, Creator, Ruler, Jester, Sage, and Magician. In her updated work, she’s integrating findings from neuroscience and recent developments in archetypal psychology.

In her updated work, she integrates findings from neuroscience and recent developments in archetypal psychology. She demonstrates that the heroic quest isn’t just for certain people under special circumstances. Exploring the many heroic paths available to each of us, at every point in our lives, her innovative program enables us to live heroically by activating and applying twelve archetypes in our lives. Dr. Pearson co-created the Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator® as a validated instrument with Dr. Hugh Marr, whom we are extremely honored will be joining the Myth Salon panel for the presentation along with Dr. Kesstan Blandin, the Director of Research at the Center for the Applications of Psychological Type in Gainesville, Florida, in addition to serving as faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

So, in addition to our usual stellar panel of scholars and educators, the Myth Salon will be joined by three experts in how to unlock the archetypes of our authentic nature and the Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator.® Carol Pearson’s forthcoming book, What Stories Are You Living? is designed to help PMAI users recognize the archetypes that are unconsciously fueling the plotlines of our lives and to use that information to support our individuation. In this way, we develop archetypal narrative intelligence (NQ) as an important aspect of emotional intelligence (EQ) and individuation.

NOTE TO PARTICIPANTS: She encourages salon visitors to take the PMAI® (go to www.storywell.com) before attending, although doing so is not necessary to understand the presentation or contribute to the discussion.
