Totally get where you’re coming from—rainy days here call for something cozy and local. One of my go-to moves is hitting a local bookstore or grabbing a long coffee at a café that doesn’t mind if I hang out for a while. There are some hidden spots around Skagit that don’t always show up on Yelp or Google Maps unless you already know what you’re looking for. I actually found a few of my favorites by browsing the Local Business Directory one weekend. It’s kind of like a local cheat sheet—coffee shops, small galleries, bakeries, you name it. I discovered a little tea shop in Mount Vernon that I would’ve never stumbled across otherwise. Definitely worth poking around—you’ll probably find something that fits your vibe for a low-key rainy day.
